How do I apply for MAHE Online programmes?
After deciding upon the programme of your choice, application can be submitted online at https://mahe.www.onlinemanipal.com by providing the required details. Once you provide the required details, MAHE admission counsellor will reach out to you to assist with the application process. Alternatively, you can call us at +91-8805 149 972 or email international_admissions@mahe.www.onlinemanipal.com, and we will assist you with the application process.
To complete the initial application process, you are required to provide your personal details, academic details, work experience details, pay an application fee of $ 50.00, upload the eligibility documents and finally upload the Statement of Purpose (SoP) video.
What are the eligibility criteria for MAHE online programme?
M.Sc. Data Science:
- 10+2+3 year graduate degree in Statistics / Mathematics / Computer Science / Engineering / Technology or any other discipline with a minimum of two years of learning Mathematics or statistics from a recognised university / institution with an equivalent qualification recognised by the Association of Indian Universities (AIU)
- Work experience is desirable
M.Sc. Business Analytics:
- Graduates in any discipline with Statistics as one of the subjects from recognised universities/institutions or an equivalent qualification as recognised by the Association of Indian Universities (AIU) with a minimum of 50% of marks or equivalent grade
- Work experience is desirable
Postgraduate Certificate in Business Analytics:

What are the documents required for the admission into MAHE online programme?
- Proof of identity – Aadhaar card, passport, voter’s ID, PAN card with photograph, any other Govt.-issued photo identity card
- Proof of address – Aadhaar card, passport, voter’s ID, gas bill, bank statement, post-paid mobile statement
- Graduation mark sheets/transcript of all semesters & the degree certificate

What is the selection process?
- Your application for the online programme will be evaluated by the Admissions team of MAHE. Once the University admission team verifies your eligibility documents, and if you are eligible, the University sends the communication to your registered e-mail ID for the payment of semester fees. You may choose to pay semester fees/annual fees/full programme fees
- In case the university requires further clarification on your eligibility documents, you will be intimated via email, SMS/WhatsApp or a phone call
- You will get to know the status of your admission within 5-7 working days after submitting the application
- Once the admission is confirmed, MAHE will intimate the candidate via email and SMS
What is the refund policy?
MAHE follows UGC regulations for refund of course fee.
- 15 days or more prior to admissions closing date – 100% refund
- Within 15 days prior to the admission closing date – 90% refund
- Within 15 days after the admission closing date – 80% refund
- 15 days after the admission closing date – 50% Refund
- 30 days after the admission closing date – No Refund

How is the MAHE online programme delivered?
In an online programme, teaching and learning happens on a MAHE learning platform. For each course, learners have access to instructionally designed courseware hosted on the MAHE learning platform. The courseware is typically a mix of text, videos, and interactive quizzes. Each course is structured in terms of learning modules referred to as learning units. Learners are expected to watch e-tutorials, read e-self learning materials and attempt quizzes and participate in discussion board activities.
Will there be any live lectures/webinars?
In addition to the instructionally rich learning resources, the University also provides the live lectures/webinars by MAHE faculty members and industry experts, where students can interact directly with the Subject Matter Experts.
How does my academic queries are answered?
The University provides a dedicated course coordinator for each course. Course coordinator can be contacted via Learning portal using “Ask your coordinator’ discussion forum. Students can also interact with course coordinators during the live webinars.
How much time should I dedicate to complete the learning activities?
You are expected to spend at least 15-20 hours per week watching concept videos, reading learning materials, attempting quizzes, participating in discussion topics and attending live webinars (recorded sessions are also made available on MAHE learning portal).
What is the medium of instruction?
The medium of instruction is English.
When do I get access to MAHE learning portal?
After your admission is confirmed by the university, you will get credential to access MAHE learning portal. Students can then start accessing the learning resources and begin their learning journey.
What is evaluation & assessment pattern?
The assessment system has been conceived, developed and administered on a rigorous and fair basis to bring out the best in students and prepare them for a successful career. A student’s performance evaluation will be based on both Internal Assessment (IA) and End Term Examination (ETE). The assessment ratio of IA to ETE is 30:70.
Internal assessment is based on learner’s participation in discussion board, performance in assignments, performance in unit wise graded quizzes and percentage of content access.
At the end of each semester, the student is required to appear for the End Term Proctored Online Examination. A student must score at least 40% in Internal Assessment (IA) to become eligible for End Term Examination (ETE). A student must score at least 40% term-end examination to be declared as having passed in a subject.
What is the grading pattern?
The University uses 10 Point Grading System – A+ (10), A (9), B (8), C (7), D (6), E (5), F-Fail (0)
What if I fail to clear some papers/subjects?
If you fail to clear any paper/subject in End Term Exam (ETE), you must apply for repeater exams whenever the University conducts by paying a requisite fees/paper.
What is the duration of online programmes?
Minimum duration for post graduate programme is two years. However, validity of the programme is double the duration i.e., students will be able to complete the programme in four years.
Why should one choose MAHE online programme?
MAHE is one of the top ten universities in India and has been recognised as an “Institution of Eminence” by Ministry of Education, Govt. of India. As per the UGC regulations, the universities ranked within Top 100 in National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) are allowed to offer programmes in online mode under “Entitled” category.
Will the online degree be equivalent to conventional degree?
Yes. As per the UGC regulations, online degrees shall be treated as equivalent to the corresponding awards of the degrees offered through conventional mode.
